Dear host parents,
thanks for your numerous feedbacks!
Ragnhild and I will now prepare the 5.9.2020 as a common date and we will meet on Saturday, 5.9.2020 at 14.00h in the Tuesday Coworking Space, address see below), please bring 2 to 3 hours of time and cake 🙂 Drinks and snacks will be provided.
An invitation will be sent out on Monday, also with information about the Signal and Whatsapp groups, then you are invited to one of the groups or contact me if not.
Those who can’t come, please don’t worry, we will record this or send you the most important information afterwards. Also the walks in the neighborhood are only an offer and not obligatory.
However, the first coffee meetings and the summer party at the end of 2021 are obligatory for the students.
Please discuss with your guest child what he or she would like to do during the autumn vacations. I would like to keep the list accordingly so that I know what to do and nobody gets lost 😉
I have received a few suggestions, among other things from a mother, what we are going to include on the agenda, one of our mothers will be the parents’ representative or will be a candidate for the FMB, we can also talk about this on Saturday and then there will be plenty of time to get to know each other better, EAST and WEST and students and host parents alike.
Ragnhild and I are planning walks in the KIEZ every month from October 2020 and the German Press Museum invites us to a tour of the Ullsteinhaus. Among other things, it will be the 75th anniversary of the publication of the first Tagesspiegel and thus 75 years of free press (history) in West Berlin.

and this weekend 100 unannounced demonstrations of the so-called “Querfront” are expected on Saturday. A reason not to plan anything at the Brandenburg Gate or in the immediate vicinity of the Brandenburg Gate, as it is possible that there will be riots there, because the demonstrations, which have already been registered, have been banned by the Senator of the Interior.

For the BVG cards, which should arrive by September 1st, please attach the surname of the guest child to the mailbox for security reasons, so that nothing gets lost here. Then it should also work with the BVG.
